Functional room and friendly staff. Lovely stay and very convenient as we were attending a Graduation and only had to walk across the road and didn't have to stress about parking on campus for the day. Had lunch in the restaurant and it was a lovely meal. Staff are all very friendly and helpful.
This was the third time we have stayed at The Orchard Hotel. It has been very convenient for visiting our son while he was at the uni. It was particularly convenient for attending his graduation as it was directly opposite the venue. Staff were friendly and helpful. We were lucky enough to get upgraded to a superior room on this occasion. The room was spacious, comfortable and immaculate. Breakfast was good and plentiful. We have previously brought our dogs and that was problem-free too.
Quality full English breakfast. I’d rather skip a full English if it’s cheap meat but the bacon and sausage were sourced from a good quality local butcher. As the weather was so nice we ate in the beautiful flower filled court yard garden. Home made biscuits in the room. What really made it for me with the staff. They were so friendly and welcoming. Highly recommend
Cheap and cheerful. If you want the Ritz it’s not, but great value for money and very friendly and helpful staff. I will be back!!

friendly, cheap and convenient. The owner went out of his way to ensure I knew the directions to the arena and gave me the amount of charge I needed for the bus fare into town.
