The accomodation is probably the cleanest that I have stayed at in Australia. The kitchen is well set up with cooking facilities but bring your own utensils. The town is only ten minutes walk and the town-folk obviously have a lot of pride in their pretty and historic little town so it is an enjoyable place to be. You can see the Grampians in the distance. The site is about 15 minutes walk from the Stawell V-Line stop.
