Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

A budget hotel with clean rooms and whilst the breakfast was basic it was enough. Staff were friendly and accommodating and the convenient location close Farmer’s Market for great resturants. The room was ok for the two of us and had a comfortable bed. The hotel was a great base while we traveled around the area

An outdoor parking is enough, it’s safe, near the apartment, and cheap compared to indoor parking. Kitchen, bathroom, washing machine are all great. There’s also a Japanese supermarket nearby, all is convenient.

The room was clean and comfortable. Even though it was a capsule hotel, the pods were more spacious than anticipated and was well-equipped. Kevin (the manager) was also friendly and accommodating, which made my stay excellent. The place and facilities were clean and quiet as well.

I had one night at LA PODLIFE. The experience of sleeping in a capsule is really impressive. The host was very friendly and gave me a short introduction. Next to the "room" there is a kitchen, a hot shower, a cinema room and a lounge in the backyard. I recommend everyone to spend a night here.

We wanted to go to Japan town and eat Japanese food, noodles, etc. Very nice hotel, staff was very friendly and helpful; impeccably clean rooms with great beds! Safe area, parking on premises very safe and convenient at a reasonable rate (considering the rates in Los Angeles). Very close to everything in old Los Angeles, Central Station, Chinatown, etc. It is a great place to go for a weekend and have a 'time-out' as a couple. Quiet place and peaceful meals in friendly places in Los Angeles.... no homeless tents was a plus!!!

Great location. Restaurants either side of entrance, japanese village across the street 50m.Hotel does feel like you are in Japan, with the exceptions of you don't have to remove your shoes and there arent any electronic toilet seats or vending machines nearby Awesome recently installed showers especially on 3rd floor All the staff and management are helpful and friendly. Whether you love Japanese culture or not it's a great location if you love Japanese culture or want to experience it it's a great place to stay.

This was our second stay in LA after the first one on Hollywood Boulevard. Would reccomend this area over that one any time. Not overcrowded and not teeming with hawkers and the homeless. A part of Little Tokyo, this area felt v safe and clean. The hotel itself was great value for money, they didnt skimp on daily room cleaning which was refreshing to see in the US, spacious rooms, bathrooms had heated seats and bidets, good facilities like an in house cafe and vending machines . Lots of Japanese restaurants right outside which was convenient.

Parking is extremely convenient. Just right next to the property and fees are low($10 per night) in LA. Hot water is provided in the lobby. The hotel prices are crazily high in LA so this is a budget-friendly option.

Loved the location, super close to alot of high-end restaraunts and great overall vibe at the hotel and very clean. Great point for checking our all the touristy things on and near Hollywood boulevard and super close proximity to universal studios. They let us keep our luggage at the front desk after check out as we had a super late night flight that day and the food and cocktails are great! Definitely not a cheap spot though if you are looking at travelling on a budget but definitley a couples friendly hotel.
