Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

The beds were handmade by the boss, which was a fact I knew when the hostess gave me a room tour. I loved how proud the hostess was of her husband. The atmosphere of the hostel was extremely friendly because some old customers kept coming back to gather.

It was very clean and spacious and the free bikes were convenient. The owners were very kind and even offered us a free lift to the station because it was so hot.

This homestay is perfect. Sasa the owner is so nice, friendly and helpful. The room is very clean, same with the toilets and showers. The toilets had a bidet. The beds are comfortable. It’s close to the station, has a 7-11 nearby. The girls i shared the room with were so respectful.

It was a very convenient and nice place to hike and explore the surroundings that are truly of an amazing beauty. The owner is friendly, bikes are available for free, the cofee is excellent and everything is clean. I would come back with pleasure !

I stayed one night and it was fine. I stayed in a capsule. The staff were friendly. They offered to let me use their scooter for free. The hostel is close to the centre. Visiting the tourist locations requires a bike, scooter or similar. Chishang is renowned for touring on bike and there are bike routes. You could walk around.

It was a quaint place, very spacious! Clean too. Super friendly caretaker who offered to deliver dinner for us + offered us local fruits! The dogs were so cute. We’re gonna miss Lulu and Nini! The location is also pretty close to town, which makes things convenient if you drive/ride a bike!

We had a wonderful stay at the hotel. We stayed for one night before our big hike to Chiaming Lake. The room was spacious, very clean and the hotel staff were very friendly and professional. Their specialty rice ice cream was delicious and the breakfast was good, but the eating area was a bit too crowded by the other hiking group. There's a huge 7-11 across the street which is super convenient. A great place to stay in Taitung while you prepare for your journey to the mountains or surrounding areas.
