Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

Nice, private capsules/pods in dormitory, but not sound proof- thin walls, light, pouch & 1 poerpoint in each pod, good kitchen when people clean after themselves, ok dining & lounge rooms, if a little small. Laundry is €5 to wash, dry & includes detergent.

Wonderful friendly staff, cheap rooms if you're on a tight budget. I don't care about decorum, yes it's dated, but it's clean and warm, staff exceptionally helpful and welcoming. Recommend.

The location could not be better - Bluebird is located in the old town of Riga. The rooms are beautiful and tactfully renovated and the once elegant apartment is now a cozy hostel. This was my first experience with capsule hostels and it really gives you more privacy than a regular shared room equipped with bunk beds. The common rooms are nice and the staff is friendly. I will definitely come back.

everything is clean, staff is helpful and friendly, and no complaints on the location. a great hostel! It's a tidy, friendly, cheap and nice atmosphere. Close enough to walk around the city and see sights without getting public transport – if you're on a budget, this is the perfect place to stay.

We stayed at a family room. Very comfortable bunk beds for kids, double bed for the parents. The arrangement in the room very convenient, lots of shelves and space for storing suitcases. We liked that there was a coffee and a snack vending machines in the lobby. You can get your coffee even if you oversleep the breakfast time 🙂

First, the location is absolutely convenient, close to both train and bus station as well as the shopping centre and a city centre. Secondly, we were allowed to chek-in early with no additional cost and were also offered a luggage storage if needed. The room was clean and spacious so as the common area. I can only recommend this accommodation to everyone who needs a clean, convenient and budget friendly place to stay. The commuication with the host was also very smooth and quick.

Friendly staff, was able to check-in before 10am. Free parking very good. The room good sized and shower had good water pressure. This place is on very convenient place very close to center and old town. Breakfast was okay and served between 9-11am, it basically consists from couple bread slices topped with a slice of cheese and ham, yoghurt, Instant coffee, milk, juice, oatmeal, boiled egg and a chocolate-milk slice. Overall its a very good place to stay in if you are looking room with a tight budget.

really nice atmosphere and design. Friendly staff. Good price / budget friendly. Easy to find and in great location. Secure, Quiet (in my experience) nice toilets and showers, they were clean and each had separate rooms but would recommend some sort of shower shoes Fully equipped kitchen, laundry room etc. Would stay again, really enjoyed but didnt make use of full facilities as was only there few nights. Really enjoyed the “capsule” experience. Surprisingly very spacious, had charging port and hanger etc. curtain for privacy.
