Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
Very comfortable beds and each capsule even has a window. They also let us check in very early at 7am which was very much appreciated. Great service by Chingiz who went out of his way to help us find transport to Bishkek!
If you want the experience of staying in a 1960s genuine Soviet Khrushchyovka, go for this one. Whe you see the building exterior, you won't believe how wonderful it is inside. The apartment is so well thought out. Everything that you may need is there. Yet its compact and beautiful. We stayed as a family of four with our pet dog. Two additional bonuses its truly pet friendly and very close to Lake Balkhash.
Great location in the city center next to the cafes, shops, the lake. You can park your car in front of the window. The flat is super clean and cosy. The host is very friendly and easy to communicate with.
Silence during the night, warm rooms with good air conditioners. Friendly staff.
