Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
The people where super friendly and the house is outstanding. Our stay at Yukara was very pleasent and enjoyable, and the location is nice and quiet. The owners of the house even drove us from the train station to the accommondation for free :)
If you like Japanese food the breakfast selection was extensive and very good although the western offer was limited.
The Japanese bath is spectacular with outdoor baths over looking a beautiful lake that is lite up at night.
The setting in the forest near the small lake was lovely, especially as it rained. The room was clean, well equipped, with a lovely forest outlook. The onsen was very relaxing. The convenience store downstairs was handy, as was the bakery down the hill.
Staff were professional, but friendly. We especially would like to thank the bus driver who took us in and out of Onumakoen (to and fom the station and to walk aound the lake ) a few times. Great service! Thank you.
If we could give more than 10 we would! Ok, it is a big hotel and not so new but it is amazing. The peaceful view from the room which is spacious. The staff is so kind! And the restaurant has an amazing winelist and the freshest food you can imagine. Not cheap but totally worth it! And the breakfast…delicious!
The hotel is clean and cozy. The staffs are friendly and professional. The food is excellent especially the pastries . The landscaping blend in to the nature.
