Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
First thing to know about this hotel is that it is clearly a budget hotel. With reasonable expectations and a good price it is definitely ok.
The locations is ok, and the breakfast is ok with the odd highlight but certainly nothing special.
It also has good vending machines and a well priced self service laundry area.
The staff are friendly even if there main purpose is to guide you through the self check in.
- good signposting of how to use the airco remote control which is in Japanese: something which is done in little places in Japan
- mattress was not too hard (though was on the ground directly which is part of the negative)
- owners are very friendly
- quite some space in the rooms
- free jam and toast in the morning and iced tea in the afternoon
Everything was as expected.
Decent breakfast with western and Japanese options.
The location is PERFECT. Right at the Nagasaki train station and across the street from the bus terminal.
This was as affordable and convenient as it gets!
Perfect location, very nice and spacious rooms and amazing SPA on the rooftop.
Staff was friendly, check-in and check-out process very convenient.
Great value for money.
Friendly and helpful staff, even the cleaners said 'good morning'. Very convenient to stay here. The hotel is near the shopping malls and station. I forgot my jacket in the room, so I contacted them. Luckily I got it back on time. It was all sent from Nagasaki to Yokohama! Thank you JR Kyushu Hotel Nagasaki.
The location isn't in the center of Nagasaki, but it's conveniently placed close to a tram stop that runs around the town. The shrine close by adds a nice atmosphere and the housing is great if you want to try a traditional japanese style living! The owner is very friendly and definitely made our stay so much better. The rooms are spacious, clean and have everything you need.
Rather a capsule hotel than a hostel, with all the benefits this brings in terms of privacy. The separate space isn't even filled entirely by the bed so that there's even some space to keep the luggage. The cabins are made entirely of wood which makes for good, well breathable air. Towels and toothbrushes are provided abundantly. Common facilities are in excellent condition and thoroughly cleaned every day. Location is convenient as well.
Location is quite convenient to get around Nagasaki. It is well equipped and maintained guesthouse with large kitchen, ample washrooms and showers.. Stayed in clean and neat Japanese tatami style room next to a small garden. Clean towels for use, this is great. Quiet neighbourhood so you will get a nice rest. The host is very friendly and hospitable
