The facilities were perfect, nice area and within walking distance of subway.
Just a quick walk from the bustling Shijo-Kawaramachi area, Sauna & Capsule Hotel Rumor Plaza offers free WiFi access, and capsule rooms with a flat-screen TV with satellite channels.

Amazing place!
Very central, clean, organize and nice staff.
Situated conveniently in the Kamigyo Ward district of Kyoto, CAPSULE HOTEL CONTINUE NijojoKita is set 1.7 km from Kyoto International Manga Museum, 2.3 km from Kitano Tenmangu Shrine and 2.8 km from...
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
The staff were friendly and attentive, and the hotel's location was convenient for both bus and subway access, making it easy to reach popular attractions. We particularly enjoyed the welcome cookies and tea ceremony, which added a special touch to our stay. Also, although it may seem like a minor detail, my sister and I liked the high-quality amenities provided, (shampoo and conditioner) which were from a premium brand not commonly found in 2-4 star Japanese hotels.
Everything was great, hotel was insanely cheap and we expected it to be "unmanned" but there were staff who were helpful, polite, and friendly in classic Japanese fashion. It's in a wonderful location kyoto wise, 10000 buddha statues are right around the corner, and everything else is in walking/quick train distance. It's cheap, clean and well maintained, there are free laundry machines, and they even lend you umbrellas!
The bed was big and comfortable, the AC worked really well (which is really important this time of the year!)
The bathroom was a good size and the size of the room was above average for Japanese standards.
Staff were friendly and checking in was easy, you can also drop your bags off early if required.
There is an amazing miso ramen shop on the corner of the street from the hotel, some of the best ramen I've had!
The cheapest hotel we've found in Japan and easily one of the best in terms of standards as well
Fantastic hotel in convenient location. Room was tastefully done between Japanese and western style. Nice traditional hot tub! And special herbal salts provided. The two staff where extremely friendly and helpful
Staff was friendly, some could speak really good english.
Rooms were pretty decent. Lots of laundry machines and even a pretty cheap drink vending machine, which was very convenient.
The location was really great, right next to the famous geisha street. Also really central in Kyoto so you where pretty much downtown with lots of things also well into the night.
The hotel is very conveniently located very close to Kyoto’s main railway station. Staff were friendly, efficient and welcoming with good English spoken throughout. Like most Japanese hotels both the room and the hotel generally, were spotlessly clean. The room was a good size for single occupancy. The adjoining restaurant to the hotel provided an excellent, varied buffet breakfast. Other facilities provide within the hotel included vending machines, laundromat and a spa bath area.
Very stylish hotel with cozy and comfortable traditional Japanese style rooms. The staff was friendly and helpful, the location was very convenient, we explored different areas of Kyoto on foot and public transport.
It wasn't cheap, but would definitely love to stay here again.
Everything. It’s very close hankyu-Kyoto line, very close to shopping and restaurants area.I honestly didn’t expect much seeing as this is only a capsule hotel. But the area is clean, the staff are friendly, there are wide variety of free amenities. And the breakfast was free. Truly represented a true Japanese hospitality
This was my first time in a capsule hotel and a first time in a female-only one at the same time :) I loved the stay - everything was super convenient, all possible amenities provided (you get pajamas, shoes, face masks etc.). Kitchen has even matcha set and coffee hand grinders ;) Cabins were surprisingly quiet
