Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
The stay exceeded our expectations, and it offered a lot of facilities for cheap. I would highly recommend staying here. The host was super friendly too.
The property is beautiful! Highly recommend. It’s a traditional old ryokan with tatami rooms and a wonderful outdoor hot springs for guests - as well as indoor hot springs. When the rooms say shared bathroom, they just mean these shared communal baths (very typical at Japanese ryokan) but you still get your own toilet, sink and dressing area in the rooms. The breakfasts we had were also amazing. We were so full! And big thanks to the owner who always came over to say hello and chat after breakfast - she was lovely.
Very friendly staff, good location, good price. Definitely stay there again.
