Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
The women staffing the hotel were so friendly and went 'above and beyond' to make our stay enjoyable. For example, they organised for us an English language tour of the castle/prison. The location was perfect for the beach, the supermarket and the medieval town of Gaeta. The room was very clean and the air con worked super well, which was a Godsend. My son loved the mini custard doughnuts served at breakfast!

The property is very central and conveniently located for visits to the centro storico, Serapo beach, shops and restaurants. Bus stops for travel to Formia (essential) are located directly outside of the property. Facilities are excellent and the appartment spotlessly clean and comfortable. The host is friendly and helpful. Gaeta is a very easy going, happy Italian resort town
The Gajeta Hotel offers a convenient location right across from the military harbor on the beach road, nestled between the city center and the old town. Its prime location is complemented by a nearby Italian bakery and a charming pub, although be prepared for the enticing aroma of freshly baked goods in the morning. The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful, living up to the expectations for a hotel in this price range. The added perk of private free parking adjacent to the hotel and complimentary breakfast adds to its appeal.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. It was very convenient located close to old town, beach and great walks. The day spa was also excellent. The staff were very friendly and welcoming.
Location very close to the sea and beach - about 150 meters. Nicely and conveniently furnished - good quality materials, good air conditioning. Good staff - friendly and accommodating.
The staff was very friendly and attentive at breakfast and other hotel areas. The swimming pool was very large, clean and warm, however, the pool area washrooms were in terrible shape. The food was very good. The location is convenient for the beach, although a few blocks away from the shops.
Very friendly and helpful owners. Good quiet location and parking spot right below the apartment block was very convenient. They also lent us a parking card if needed for the centre which would be handy but we didn't end up needing it. Clean and modern bedroom and bathroom.
