Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

Really convenient location and Tommy the host is super helpful and friendly. He even helped us book our Mt Batur trecking with ease. Our room was spacious and clean with everything you need including a fridge. Perfect budget option.

Beautiful budget accommodation, Warung with cheap Balinese meals. Nothing fancy but great for those on a budget. The staff were friendly and helpful. Right across the road to the soccer field and carpark. Ideal for those going to meetings at Café Wahyu and only a short walk to Central Ubud. We will stay again.

The staff at Sapodilla were amazing. They were so friendly and accommodating. Delicious breakfasts were delivered to our room daily and they also have a Japanese restaurant onsite where you can order meals to your room. The pool was beautiful, clean and refreshing for an afternoon dip. They also run a convenient shuttle service around Central Ubud which was particularly handy given we were staying with our 18-month-old son. We will definitely stay here again next time we visit Ubud.

The property was in the city center close to the main attractions, the staff was very friendly and helpful, the have cheap and new motor bikes which is very convenient if you want to travel more further. In addition to that, the massages were very cheap and done professionally. Overall very great place to stay.

For the budget cost, Kiskenda Cottage far exceeded expectations. The grounds are a beautiful little oasis and the room was extremely adequate as a homebase to explore Ubud and the area. Monkey gardens were a convenient short walk, as was one of the main streets with a convenience store and restaurants just down the road. Breakfast too was generously adequate given the cheap cost of the motel.

Probably one of the nicest budget places we've stayed in South East Asia. Bed huge and so comfy. Clean room. Didn't notice any bugs. The occasional lizard but no shock in Asia. Lovely area to sit outside. Breakfast cheap and yummy. Staff friendly.

This is not a luxury resort, if you are just looking for a simple budget place to stay, it has all the basic needs like a comfortable bed, strong shower head and good air conditioning. The staff are also really nice and helpful. Just a special shoutout for their help to send laundry to the shop :) The location is convenient, short car ride to town, there’s also minimart, good restaurants nearby and tasty cheap local sate (satay) stall right outside

our favorite guest house in Ubud. So conveniently located, clean, new, cheap! Amazing location and value for money. Great shower (be careful with wet floor - might be slippery), silent and powerful air conditioner, stuff is young and friendly, breakfasts are good too - brought to the room every morning. You possibly can’t find better in Ubud for this price
