Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
The view from the balcony is unbeatable. The people are super friendly and helpful. So convenient to do the walks from the hotel. They gave me a small map at the reception of hikes in the area.massages are available right at the property. I was doubting whether I should go to Munduk since it’s a bit far, but oh boy was it my favourite part of Bali trip, I regretted I only stayed for 2 days.
I liked the location, very convenient, close to all Munduk’s main attractions. Beautiful and well kept garden and great views. In-site restaurant is convenient. Room had a small terrace where I spent most time as I didn’t liked the room at all. Of course, it’s incredibly cheap too. Good mosquito net, which you need cause the room is infested with mosquitoes and all kinds of insects.
The family seems very kind, but there is a lot that needs improvement in terms of the hygiene of the place.
Dedi was just amazing. Very helpful, friendly and ready to share his knowledge.
The food was really nice too, just make sure they spice up your meal if you like it as the locals do :)
Good and cheap local massage next door
We enjoyed our stay at Maliana Homestay. It is a great budget stay, owners were very helpful and friendly, the rooms are clean and the breakfast was very good (it was nice to try something different.) Beautiful views from the balcony. Would stay again
We stayed in 2 different rooms, bc we liked the place and wanted to stay one more night. The second night we stayed in the cheaper room which was doable but we would definitely recommend the nicer one. Comfortable bed, spacious room, shower with hot water, nice view of the mountains, and ventilator present in the room. Friendly staff, very attentive.

A little ways down a hill well away from main road noise. Quiet and peaceful with good views of hills. Friendly and helpful staff. Good and cheap food. Good sized room and bathroom.
the view from the property is absolutely stunning! if you are in the restaurant, your room or the pool you will get an amazing view of the rice fields, jungle and mountains.
the staff are really helpful and friendly. it’s is in a great location just off the main road so it is quieter and has a good selection lovely warungs next to it. a very good cheap laundry place is also next door and scooter hire. The area is really lovely and nice to relax buy it and take in the amazing views.
We enjoyed our stay in a cabin with superb view on the mountains and the harbour , the room was nice and cleaned every day. The stuff was super friendly and helpful, providing us with everything we need from transportation to some tips on riding the scooters. The kitchen was simple but tasty, with budget-friendly prices.
Overall , totally recommended!
