Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
One good breakfast option, 2 small free water bottles every day, cheap rental equipment for Mount Ijen, nice garden and cute terrace. Some nice pets and a small pond with koi fish.

The tour to the Ijen, which you can book directly at the hostel is so cheap and well organized. Location directly at the trainstation and the port. Also the host organized a cheap busride to bromo for us :) Try the breakfast, it is really good!

Can't get any closer to both the train station and ferry terminal. Comfortable beds with privacy curtain, clean showers and toilets, good wifi, filtered water and free coffee in the morning, very friendly staff. Great value for money.

Perfect cheap place to do the Ijen tour.
It’s probably the best price you can find! They had amazing breakfast in the morning!
The tour was very nice, of course if you book the cheapest it’s not perfect (head lights were not working, one mask almost fell apart) but if you’re traveling low budget it’s the best place you can find!

Great location, walking distance from the train station, in a calm street. The space is simple but clean and cozy. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Many extra services, from trips to Ijen, renting motorbikes and laundry. Great deal for travelers on a budget.
Super friendly staff! And had a very amazing sunrise ijen tour! Loved the breakfast as well. Nearby in the Main Street there is also a very cheap massage place. Had one of the best full body massages there. Highly recommend Ijen Backpacker!
Everything was great. The staff is super friendly and helpful , the place is decorated with style, clean and well thought of. The kitchen is very convenient.
We booked the shared shuttle through them that takes you to Ijen leaving at 8AM and it was perfect.
