Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

We stayed in the suite which was absolutely lovely. As pictured there are a table and chairs positioned right in front of the window so you can sit and enjoy the view. The bed was extremely comfortable. There is a coffee maker as well as kettle with coffee pods supplied. There are dressing gowns too which is a nice touch. Phil the proprietor was very friendly and helpful.

Facilities were good, TV is huge. The bedroom is nice and the bed is comfortable. Location wise, it is within short walking distance of everything so it’s really convenient however the area and building block itself are not the most safe seeming (nothing to do with host but just something to consider). Really reasonably priced also! Hosts are only a message/call away. Prior to and throughout our stay we conversed with Richard who was very accommodating and friendly :-) thank you!

This is no-frills, budget accommodation in Halifax town centre. Well located close to the station and numerous restaurants. The hotel is a bit scruffy in places, but the room was clean and there was plenty of hot water and electric sockets. Breakfast choices: simple continental or cooked. Staff very friendly and helpful - thank you. Note: parking is now £5/night, not free. Park in the little car park in Alfred Street East, not in the nearby Eureka! car park.
