Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
The locations and it was cheaper than other options when we had a tight budget. Good mattress clean sheets but linen was not pressed so looked shabby. The staff were friendly but limited in how to help as they just there todo room changes.
Situated in a convenient location nearby the city centre with budget friendly price. Staff are helpful and approachable. Overall, great value for money.
It was a convenient place to stay before a 6am flight. I did not use any of the facilities (i.e. food) so I can't comment. For a budget hotel, it's not that cheap, but I guess it is a captive market. The room is basic but has everything you need. Shower is good.
First time staying in a capsule hotel due to insane hotel room prices in Edinburgh the one night I was there. Wasn't really looking forward to my night in a capsule, but it was quieter than I expected and I did get a decent night's sleep. I thought the pod might get stuffy, since there's no obvious ventilation, but it was just fine. Bathrooms are very well maintained and while all the ones near my room were busy first thing in the morning, I walked to another floor and found a free one.
High quality bedroom - fridge, water, toiletries. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is excellent for city centre. It isn’t cheap but worth it for convenient location and nice room.
Extremely convenient for the John McIntyre conference centre, and very close to a bus stop with regular buses into town. Breakfast delicious, and delivered promptly by the very friendly Richard. Comfortable bed, nice hot shower, quiet location. Fantastic to have the option of a single room (with the associated very reasonable price) given that I was travelling alone - much cheaper than any other option, including the 'budget' hotels.
It was as cheap as I could get near the airport, and convenient for the tram stop. It wasn’t fancy but it did the job. The bunk bed built over the double was a nice touch, I can see a kid loving that.
Budget friendly and cheap breakfast buffet for only £7.99. Friendly reception staff. Shower temperature and pressure was fine with shower gel provided. Location was central.
The location is very convenient near the train station, the prices affordable for people on a low budget like myself the staff were very friendly and helpful the bunk beds are very comfortable and what I especially like is that they have curtains around them for privacy with lights and mobile charger points,which is excellent.
Lots of privacy because of the pod beds, convenient lockers, very clean, great showers, cool decor, friendly staff, amazing location and very cheap!
