Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
We stayed at the Pyramide for a one night stopover in our drive from Calais to the South of France. It was a good location meaning we did not have to drive into Orleans. We stayed in a superior double room which was modern, clean and well appointed. The hotel has ample free parking right outside. The staff were friendly and efficient. Job done - does what it says on the tin. Very good value for money
It was very comfortable, spaceous and in a very good location. We have enjoyed our stay there.

We have also found in Romorantin an exceptionally good Japanese restaurant Asaki Boneur with a
takeaway. Highly recommended!
Cheap and cheerful. No frills. A place to rest your head and have a shower. Simple breakfast. Nice location. Easy to find. Air conditioning worked quite well.
Spotless clean, spacious, with everything you need for a family holiday. Conveniently located to explore the Loire Valley by car. The kids in particular enjoyed the table football game.
It is in a convenient position off the motorway and is cheap for a very short stop off.
