Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.

The staff lady was friendly and agreed on letting me stay one night although I booked three. I could not have stayed there for three nights.
Pedro is an attentive and helpful host. The property is simply but adequately equipped and excellent value. It is convenient for exploring La Serena and the region.
Lovely spacious clean comfortable room. Friendly helpful staff. Great location. Quiet area. Near beach, nice food and shops.
