Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
Convenient as we had a function at the Schadau Schloss, and a bus stop was directly in front of the hotel which was a bonus as it was raining when we needed to get to and from the station - 4 min. Staff was friendly and helpful and had our room available prior to check in, this was great as we still had to get ready for the function - although (apparently) there is a cloakroom with shower facilities should the room not be ready)
Undercover parking in a lockup garage was great.
Lovely clean room with comfortable bed and great shower! The staff were friendly and helpful - they provided additional pillows on request :) The underground parking was convenient, but not cheap at CHF 15 per night. It's a lovely walk into Thun, along the lake or the bus is quick and free for tourists. We would love to come and stay again.
Very central location, easy to access and convenient for travelling around the town. Staff were friendly and for the price the value is very good. There is also a restaurant that serves good food on the lobby
Extremely friendly staff, made our stay! Very clean room with nice design. Great coffee machine in the hallway of the hotel and nice breakfast. Convenient parking garage next to the hotel within the shopping mall that has electric vehicle charging station and hotel offers preferred daily rate if you book via them. Hotel has restaurant which is convenient if you want to have a dinner there (delicious food and great service). If we come back to Thun, we are going to stay here for sure! Thanks for everything!
