Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
We booked this hotel because we were attending an event nearby - at Espaço Barra Funda - and were happy with our choice. It allowed me and my family to get to the hotel at different times very conveniently. The staff was super friendly and help us get more blankets, for instance. The breakfast had a good variety of choices but had to be paid separately.
Very convinient location! Walk distance to shops, from cheap water to the luxuary oscar freire or Paulista av.
Spacious and confortable, better value than ibis budget.
Amazing location right in the centre of Japanese Quarter, friendly and helpful staff, convenience store in the loby and the most comfortable bed we have ever slept in

Friendly and helpful staff! Good climatisation system. Right next to the japanese neighborhood. Cool neons in the lobby and convenient shop in the lobby.
