Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
The staff were wonderful and very accommodating even for an English speaker with little Portuguese skills. I particularly loved the pool and 24/7 reception was very convenient for early/late check in and out.
Lovely pousada, relaxing around the pool lovely decor, helpful and friendly staff, easy to get to the beach and historical city by taxi or car, breakfast is adequate. I definitely recommend it
The Spa is lovely, the pool is very nice and the room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was robust and very tasty. The staff, especially Carla at check in, were so friendly.
Hardly ever you meet so genuinely friendly staff as in this hotel!

The house is authentic; it looks great from the first glance. We could use the kitchen and the living room, there’s a pool. Very charming vibe. Also, the host who met us was friendly and very welcoming.
The location is good - very central in the historic center of Sao Luis, which was convenient.
It’s not a pousada it is a Motel, the staff is very friendly but the idea of a pousada is a mistake, it is a very cheap motel. Sorry for the sincerity.
The Team at the Reception, specially Francisco and Raisa! both very friendly and always ready to help You!. Francisco organised my Excursion to Barreirinhas with the Travel Agency (American trip), I really can recommend! (Good, nice and cheap.... Venicio the owner really very recommended!).
