Developed in Japan, these cheap “pod” hotels are a novelty for any traveler. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodations are basic and intended to be overnight. There's separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms. Some capsule hotels also have a sentō – a Japanese bath house, usually for male guests only.
Very spacious, simple room with 3 single beds. Private bathroom 2 doors away. As a budget cycle tourist, this was adequate for me.
