Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.

Cynthia is the most friendly host you can imagine volunteering to help you left, right and center. The Casa da Sissi is a cosy, spotless comfortable base right next to the beach.

The location literally on the beach is fab. The relaxed vibe was felt immediately even tough the weather wasn’t on our side. The hosts were super friendly and went out of their way to make our stay enjoyable! We will be back for more sunshine next time hopefully!
