Find the capsule hotels that appeal to you the most
Looking for a capsule hotel?
Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
Had a great stay at Airone for 1 night. Sleeping Pods were fresh and clean, and were really comfortable. I actually had great sleeps . The pods aren’t sound proof, but over my stay there weren’t any loud people - everyone was pretty friendly and respectful and quiet. You can hear a little bit of shuffling, people climbing into beds etc - but I did find a basket of earplugs for guests to use if needed for light sleepers. Overall I was happy with my stay! And for the value, and convenience of location I would definitely stay again!
The apartment was super comfortable and spacious. Location was very convenient and sound proofing was surprisingly good. I got a full bath which is always rare when staying at a hotel. Staff were so friendly and helpful, room service was always impeccable and overall I felt very safe staying there on my own. Also very grateful to have a microwave + fridge + cooktop so I can make my own food.
The staff were helpful upon check in/out, and the room was clean and an ample size. The pool was great - I swam every morning. Buffet breakfast downstairs was very convenient, and the slightly cheaper offsite parking was a travelling budget helper too.
Convenient location - close to shops and an easy walk to Salamanca market and Elizabeth street (main street). The apartment had everything except a broom to clean up after. I would definitely recommend Bay Hotels to couples or singles who are looking for a budget friendly accomodation in Hobart.
Ps. They have the most comfiest bed too 😊
I recently stayed at the place and had a great experience. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the facilities were clean and well-maintained. The dorm rooms were comfortable and the shared bathrooms were cleaned regularly. The location was also great, with easy access to public transportation and plenty of nearby restaurants and shops. I would definitely recommend it to other travelers looking for a budget-friendly and convenient place to stay.
The hostel is great. The bed was very comfortable, the dormitory room size was decent and they provided all the facilities that you would need for a short stay. The lower bunk beds even had privacy curtains which you could pull across when sleeping and a small shelf and charging point near each bed. The location is very convenient and a short walk into Hobart city centre and close to the Salamanca market. Good value for money. I would certainly recommend this place to other travellers.
Great budget accommodation, good restaurant, friendly service, rooms were clean, noise was minimal considering the location, very convenient
