The house is self-service, beautifully renovated but simple in Cape Dutch beach house style. It is very close to the beach and restaurants, spacious and very clean. We especially loved the fire in the hearth in the kitchen, that was lit just as we arrived and gave a cosy warm glow, matched only by the host's efficiency and friendly demeanour.
Very clean & modern. It was very well located & not far from the beach. Has excellent facilities (swimming pool, BBQ grill, outdoor sitting area). The area is very posh & secure. The view from the balcony is breathtaking🔥 I must say the staff that checked us in “Richard” has good customer service skills & was always available via phone call to attend to us at all times. Not to forget the cleaner lady was also excellent & she told us about the Va waterfront which we visited twice.
This is not the first time that we have stayed at Picnic Rock and will not be the last. We just love to stay there. The apartment is very clean and neat and the views are spectacular. There is definitely no better place to stay in Keurboomstrand other than a Picnic Rock. Quality bedding and towels. Perfect place for a romantic getaway.

The breakfast was wonderful, high quality and variety of fruit in the fruit salad. The cooked breakfast was also excellent. They go out of their way to ensure your comfort and lots of attention to detail, like picnic baskets and camping chairs in case you want to go for a picnic or go to the beach. Also, there was an iron and iron board in our room which was so convenient because we were attending a wedding and needed to iron a shirt. The view was beautiful and the hospitality excellent. We will definitely stay here again.
The animals surrounding you especially when they approach you near your glamp unit .Breakfast 😋 was great. Staff at restaurant wonderful. Glamp tent was very clean for someone not used to glamping. Scenery was beautiful can get very hot. If you like normal camping , you will like this setup. Strange noises during the night was like a movie. Bed was comfortable . Saw giraffes, sprinkbok and I don't know what else.
