Monte dos Vagabundos - Animal Sanctuary - Caravan nest is gelegen in São Teotónio, op 18 km van Cabo Sardão en 30 km van Fort São Clemente. Voor mij was het de leukste en fijnste plek waar ik overnacht heb tijdens mijn wandeltocht! De sfeervolle en comfortabele caravan staat op een mooie plek met uitzicht op de zee ver weg en de velden. Douchen buiten was een ware belevenis en vooral de ontmoeting met Lucie, Philippe en de honden was hartverwarmend!

Parque Campismo Porto Côvo in Porto Covo biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de tuin, een seizoensgebonden buitenzwembad, een tuin, een gedeelde lounge, een terras en een bar. I’ve been camping in this camping place for around 25 years and it has been always the best. It was the 1st time in the apartments, it’s nothing fancy but it was clean and it’s very big. They even “lend” us some cats to keep us company.

Camping Villa Park Zambujeira do Mar ligt in Zambujeira do Mar. De accommodatie heeft een tuin, een buitenzwembad dat het hele jaar geopend is, een recreatieruimte en een eigen bar. Salt water pool was wonderful. Rooms were so cute. The store and restaurant were great.

Tree house da Lage in São Luís biedt accommodatie met uitzicht op de bergen, een tuin en een terras. The tree house is an interesting experience. It's quite cute and pretty high up so you should be able to climb ladders and parts of the trees as well. It's really simple in terms of furniture and there is obviously no electricity so no lights (apart from a little fairy light that doesn't enlighten the room) or possibility of charing your phone in the tree house. Additionally the tree house has no option to lock it as there's no key or anything. There's a strong sense of trust in the reservoir so that wasn't really a problem for us. What you should know: -It helps being comfortable with climbing in the total dark as there's no light near the tree house or the ladder. It turned out to be a good idea just to bring a backpack with the most important items and leave the rest in the car (so u have your hands free while climbing the ladder) -You shouldn't be surprised with an aunt crossing your way from time to time -it can get quite chilly at night because there are open parts in the tree house walls so bring a sweater if you'd like - there are community toilets and showers (two of each) and you should not use non biological products. The toilets have no running water. - it's really quiet and beautiful - It really isn't a relaxing luxury type of stay (there's mosquitos, the toilet smells etc.) but it's a fun way of spending the night in an exciting place!

Het Monte Carvalhal da Rocha ligt in het natuurpark Sudoeste Alentejano e Costa Vicentina, en biedt spafaciliteiten en accommodaties in huizen typisch voor Alentejo. Ivm het voorseizoen was het restaurant nog niet open. Fijn dat er voor ons, wandelaars toch iets klaargemaakt werd.
