Great location close to city centre ferry terminal. Very modern and clean. Friendly welcome from host. Great view over harbour and mountains. On the 9th floor with a lift. Luggage lockers at ferry terminal if you have an evening departure.

Boasting inner courtyard views, Saltstraumen Hotel Camping features accommodation with a garden and a patio, around 28 km from The Norwegian Aviation Museum. The property features quiet street views. We had cabin (bungalow) #19, so we had a view of the water. The location was quiet and within walking distance of the bridge where one can watch the Saltstraumen maelstrom. There is a sign near the hotel listing the best times to watch it. I liked the fact that the two-bedroom cabin also had two bathrooms. The bathroom floors are heated. The showers are good and come supplied with washing gel. Our beds were comfortable. The windows can open to let in fresh air. The hotel restaurant serves good food (but has a tiny menu). There is also a cafe about a 20-minute walk away. The staff were all very nice.

Cozy little cabin was perfect for recharging for the night. Facilities were very clean and really appreciated being able to do laundry here. Staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful with suggestions for the area.
