Get up close with wildlife and nature at Leopard Trails Wilpattu, a campsite with tents offering a private bathroom. Incredible property, clean and luxurious tents, incredible food, very knowledgeable guides. I highly recommend. Do remember to budget for a game ride($70pp), it's a must see/do.

Mahoora - Wilpattu by Eco Team provides tented accommodations at the border of Wilpattu National Park, the largest national park in Sri Lanka and famous for its leopards. Great staff, very attentive. They organised the trips to the park both times with very cool guides. The glamping experience for was new to me, and we had a lot of fun. The tents are spacious with simple appliances, but with everything you'll need.

Offering barbecue, Wild Wadi Wilpattu is set 2.5 km from the Wilpattu National Park (second entrance) and 13 km from Kalpitiya. Free private parking is available on site. The room was built well, spacious and had a great AC. From the room windows we were able to spot animals like monkeys and squirrels, and we saw plenty of birds in the area as well. The staff were AMAZING. Super helpful and nice, always available for questions and explanations about the wildlife. We booked the safari tour from the hotel and it was great decision - they provided us with great food and we were accompanied by Shantha, a guide from the hotel, who was friendly, professional and thanks to his knowledge we were able to see two different leopards in two different days. We recommend asking for the tour with him.
