Very clean and comfortable, close to the Airport
The best stay i’ve had in my 3 months of travelling around indonesia, for the price you pay it is more than exceptional. Room was crystal clean and smelled very pleasant, Beds were comfy and also very clean. Ac is very good here and also there is international plug sockets in the wall so no adapter needed! The host was also very hospitable and welcoming and provided helpful information about the area and is always able to answer your queries on whatsapp. The maid is also very nice and will sort out anything you need.
Was very clean and comfortable, staff extremely helpful. Breakfast was nice, plenty of choices. English movie on TV all the time.
The location is peaceful and serene. Away from the crowd. Amazing food. Rooms very clean and personal extremely helpful - they even helped me out when the initial hotel I booked was horrible and had no where to go.
The guesthouse is a quiet peaceful place with nice garden, gazebos for you to view the lake and have barbecue. The facilities are good. Kettle is available by request. If you use the passenger boat from Tiga Raja port, it will take you right to your accomodations around tuktuk area, so it's easy to reach the guesthouse.
Very clean, excellent service and advice from owner.
Great location right in the airport if you need to catch an early flight or need a day room to catch some rest. Very clean. Nice staff. Good buffet breakfast.
Merry and her family are very welcoming and offered an incredible stay in Berastagi. The property is very clean and you can feel comfortable. Also Mery organized an amazing volcano trekking for me, which was an unforgettable trekking. :)
Mr Kaesa is a funny, warm, and welcoming man. His son and family couldn’t have been more helpful! They booked us a guide to climb Mt Sibyak and an onwards taxi to Lake Toba and also provided us with loads of information. The rooms were very clean and we enjoyed sitting on the balcony of our mountain view room and watching Berestagi life go by. Would definitely recommend!
We stayed for two nights - big bedroom, two king size beds, one single bed, everything very clean. Self-made breakfast and dinner by Cecilia was amazing, traditional food, fresh fruits and whole grain bread - we loved it. Smiley and Cecilia spoke English very well, we learnt a lot about the culture and living. We especially enjoyed the two tours we did with Smiley - Volcano Sibayak at sunrise and Batak village and market. Smiley's Homestay in Berastagi was definitely one of our Sumatra highlights.
