Badu Lodge Puriscal offers a hot tub and free private parking, and is within 30 km of Parque Viva and 37 km of Alejandro Morera Soto Stadium. We booked this accommodation as a last-minute option (after realizing we had no accommodation for the night), and we could not have chosen better! The accommodation is unique to the location and country, with beautiful views and surroundings. It is very comfortable, clean, well equipped, and overall on the higher standard end of what we experienced while traveling the country. The host and service were exceptional! We were checking in way past the reception opening hours, yet they waited for us and made the check-in possible (and also prepared the jacuzzi for us even without asking for it!). Due to this fact, we also didn't have the chance to discuss the next day's breakfast, which they provided anyway and with perfect timing. The accommodation offers privacy, a shared swimming pool, and many sports activities (mini golf, table tennis, volleyball, etc.) The location of the place is... well, it is well hidden, yet well accessible with a car (on the way there, Waze led us through the forest, which was probably not the best night route and it was a bit challenging to get there, but on the way back we followed the main route and street which made it very easy, so I would only recommend checking that first). We would be happy to stay again and recommend it!

Wonderfully comfortable and decorated! Super nice base to explore the area from, or just to retreat in a serene mountain setting! The host's hospitality was top notch!

To keep it short, stay here and you'll never want to leave again. The cabin sits on the edge of the mountain and has an amazing view over the valley and the surrounding nature. A nearby stream runs through the blackberry fields and when the clouds circle the cabin, the fire keeps you warm and toasty. I could go on forever about each delicious meal brought to our doorstep, the shower which competes with 5* Hotel showers (and would win), the people living in the nearby pueblo and the nature which reminds me so much of the alpes. Erlyn and his fairy helpers made our stay pure enjoyment!! I will be back, probably when it is time to harvest wild blueberries :)
