What a cool experience to sleep in a hut on the shelter property. We saw bulls and cows, but no horses, probably because they were in more shady spots at the other side of the huuuuge field. It looked lovely and had a beautiful view over the Balaton hills.
The volunteers are super friendly and she made us breakfast in the morning. Egg, a piece of toast and some vegetables for a pay-what-you-want price. Simple, but easy to support the non-profit a bit more.
Easy upgrades to the hut would be some hooks or a shelve to hang (wet) stuff on, so they can dry after swimming in the lake.

The camp side was terrific for the kids with swimming pools, activities on the lake, playgrounds, mini golf, restaurants etc. The terrace was really nice and the staff was helpful.
Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or rv park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-mounted tent, RV or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
The hotel is surrounded with trees, in a quiet area, 3 minutes on foot from the train station, the center of Balatonföldvár and its facilities, the lake and its beach. Personnel are very professional and welcoming, helpful and flexible. The room was comfortable and silent, in spite of the fact that the hotel was fully booked, with a private balcony facing the garden and air conditioning.
I’ve stayed for the second time already at Optimus, great stay again, very clean, nice building, very good location, great view from my room over the lake. Will come back again!
Cozy and comfortable apartment, well equipped and easy to combine with home office work. Loved the terrace especially and the location is great, walking distance from restaurants, shops, beach.
The hotel was very clean (the corridors even smelled very clean and fresh!), the staff were friendly even if they didn't really speak English. It's very close to the beach, you just have to cross the train trails and you are there. The breakfast was good. It looked like a nice place to go with kids and family as well.
