The cabin and surrounding woods were absolutely beautiful - quiet, wild, dark - and provided the perfect surroundings to properly switch off and disconnect from the stress of modern life (and my phone). The cabin is beautifully and thoughtfully designed - we had a fire and played cards by candlelight, cooked on the fire and the gas stove. The bed was clean, warm and comfortable - a very cosy place to sleep while the rain falls outside There were sweet pigs and chickens nearby, and a poly-tunnel where we could help ourselves to fresh tomatoes, cucumbers and basil. Angus and Kate were very kind and accommodating and it was nice to say hi when we crossed paths in the woods. A truly special place - perhaps not for those who are seeking hotel style comforts - wifi, escalators, hair dryers, hot shower etc - or for those less mobile - it's a 10-15 minute walk uphill to reach it. BUT IT'S SO WORTH IT - think of it a bit like camping in your own private clearing in the woods, but with a cosy wooden cabin as your base. Thanks so much A & K for providing such a place - it was clear to me from the way it's done that you both really care for the woods and the valley - and that extends through into every part of the place, and the feel of the experience :)

Location and venue, absolutely excellent. Quiet, relaxed, couldn't be nicer in the Devon Countryside. Natalie was very helpful, and Simon was entertaining, as were the dogs and puppies.
Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or rv park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-mounted tent, RV or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
A great find! Just perfect family home for the kids with so much space for them to play outside and make friends, and of course the heated pool is such a bonus. Beautiful beaches close by and a friendly safe feel to the site when staying in, which is very well maintained. Very impressed overall. Comfortable beds and great items in the house such as the Wii and Disney channels, all appreciated! Excellent communication with our hosts and a lovely thoughtful welcome having some tea items left for us. We’d happily return.
Loved the lodge it’s huge and so comfy we loved the views . Everything needed to cook a meal all utensils and saucepans beds was comfy . WiFi excellent we chilled on the evenings walked in the day along beaches after 6 miles walking we needed to rest . Decking a little slippy but it’s winter I have decking at home so I knew it would be we would return we loved our winter 4 night break
Location was great. 7 minute drive to the beach. The park was laid out well. Looks like it’s growing with new properties. The restaurant was good value. We increased our stay to stay longer.
Lovely clean & spacious property that is well situated for short drives to the various beaches around. Great to see the sea from the living room window & from the veranda! The owner was quick to get back to me regarding a few questions I had before we stayed here & was very helpful. Looking forward to returning again soon!
Surf Lodge was great! Just back from a week long family holiday. Plenty of space for the 6 us. Loved that it had space for surfboards and wet suits. Hosts are quick to respond, should you require anything. The lodge is close to amenities and beaches. We had looked online to extend our break, but unfortunately, it was booked up. We would definitely recommend a stay here
Location to beaches and restaurant on site. Place was nice size and had two bathrooms one with bath and the other with a shower. Also close proximity to other attractions for smaller kids. Dog friendly too.
