Lovely, characterful inn not far from Wellington with spacious well equipped rooms. We were in the Monument which had a little kitchen area, a dining area and sofa bed, a lovely separate bedroom and nice bathroom. Lots of nice touches, for example, fresh milk in the fridge and a jar of homemade cookies in our room.

We had dinner in the restaurant which was very good and reasonably priced. Excellent ales and beers.

The room was very clean and comfortable with a good sized ensuite and large bed . Everything that we needed was there . The hosts were lovely , and very welcoming , and the breakfast was second to none . Made with local ingredients plus homemade bread and marmalade , it was a feast that sustained us all day . We will definitely stay again the next time we are in the area .
Clean, comfy bed. Super quiet even though on the road. Lovely old pub/restaurant. Really good sized shower room and again, very clean. Room has TV, plenty of sockets and tea/coffee making facilities.
Andrew was an excellent host. I have used The Blue Mantle on numerous occasions. The room was very clean and comfortable. Easy parking and access to the town. Excellent full English breakfast. This stay was exceptional value for money.
We stayed in Wellington to visit my son who is in a shared house so no room at the Inn. Very clean, spacious room with en suite. The house is only 10-15 min walk into Wellington depending on your stride. Alison and Alan are lovely hosts, good breakfast with freshly baked bread. Will definitely stay there again when we are visiting next. Thank you x
The hosts had gone out of their way to make us feel at home. It was very clean with lots of towels for us to use. The kitchen was very well stocked with everything we needed.
We loved the quiet location and having the extra space for cooking our meals / the bathroom facilities. The bed was very comfortable and the glamping tent / area was very clean. We really enjoyed our stay and had such a beautiful weekend.
