Our pod was so cute, warm & welcoming for our w.e break! It had everything we needed & the beds & bedding were so snug! We also had our own immaculate bathroom a short stroll away. The site and utilities are very well organised. Tim, the owner was very friendly and hospitable. Lynda, the campsite manager was equally lovely. Thank you for a lovely, relaxing stay. 😌 Best wishes, Kim & Gary

Foot of the Downs Shepherds Hut, hotel in Lewes

Offering a garden and garden view, Foot of the Downs Shepherds Hut is situated in Woodmancote, 13 km from Victoria Gardens and 13 km from i360 Observation Tower.

Cosy, comfortable and immaculately appointed hut in a very quiet location with just two others in a large field and with sensational views up to the South Downs. The log stove heater and fire pit were great. Everything was provided in the kitchen including things like tea and coffee and some wood etc for the fire. Access and parking were easy. There's a walk down from the car park to the hut but wheelbarrows were provided so we didn't have to carry our luggage.

We arrived late in the evening in a rain storm! Managed to access the mobile home. No loo paper but the on site staff helped out. We only had one night at the accommodation but we managed to find the basics.

The staff were very friendly, helpful, cheerful and courteous. The room was large and comfortable. Everywhere was very clean. There were cotton bed and bath linen. The mini fridge held milk, still and sparkling water as well as home made cordial. The shower was spacious. The garden was lovely and the surrounding views were great. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful.

The camping pods are so lovely and clean and have everything you need for a nice chilled trip. We stayed there for one night and used the bbq facilities which are located outside each pod. Everything you need is on the decking in a lock box. Parking is very close to the pods and so are the washing facilities which are also very clean with a good shower. Each pod has its own small bathroom. We will definitely be back!
