Stayed at Littletown for the first time, booked for 2 nights as struggled to find anywhere more central due to school holidays. We love running and are trying to ‘tick off Wainwrights’ so this was a perfect base to tackle a few. There are ample routes from the front door of Littletown so we didn’t have to drive anywhere during our stay for routes. Absolutely beautiful location, amazing views and so peaceful. Rooms are functional - very clean and beds are comfy. Breakfast is great and very tasty. Thank you!!

The kitchen/cooking facilities were great. The layout is a bit odd having the main kitchen located far away from the dining area where there are more kitchen facilities and crockery etc. Main building was very clean, including bathroom/toilet areas.

Very clean, nice, modern rooms. Excellent bathroom and bath/shower facilities! Lower floor rooms had a nice private garden too. Friendly staff and a nice, self-check in way. Lovely, freshly made breakfast that was included in our price (i.e., full english, vegeterian full english, and scottish) in addition to the normal buffet (i.e., yogurt, juices, etc.)

Exactly what we weee after. A total chill pill 😎. Very clean and excellent facilities, all you needed, so quiet. Family who run the pods were excellent. so friendly and nothing was a bother, Abby and her mum. The views were just extraordinary overlooking Bassenthwaite Lake! The pods are actually on a working farm….this is no issue whatsoever! Personal seating areas, barbecue area and the hosts can provide all of the items to have a first class barbecue including the meat (which was awesome local produce) 5 stars from us!

The room in Ravenstone Lodge was on the smaller side but it was very clean with excellent shower facilities. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. (Brett and Pete were excellent and Val cooked for us delicious meals). The hotel is situated in a nice area near Bassenthwaite lake and there is a real homily and relaxed atmosphere. We arrived by car so it was nice to have parking at no extra cost.
