What a little gem this place is, so cosy and the bed was unbelievably comfy, everything you need is there. Owners are lovely friendly couple, couldn't do enough for us. Will definitely be back in the summer for a longer stay.

Poachers Keep, Shepherds Hut, hotel in Biddulph

Set in Endon and only 14 km from Trentham Gardens, Poachers Keep, Shepherds Hut offers accommodation with garden views, free WiFi and free private parking.

We booked in to the poachers keep last minute, well 22/12/24. For 3 nights over Christmas. Even though it was last minute nothing was to much to ask for. The owners could not do enough to accommodate all our needs. The owners where very polite and helpful all the time and where wonderful hosts. Always answering our endless questions about all the wonderful animals they have on site. Emu's, horses, alpaca chickens, giant rabbits, and many more. This was very much a reconnecting with nature and a fantastic experience. The poachers hut it's self was very special with a very hot log burner, your own shower and toilet, everything you need for cooking , table and chairs, pots , pans, knife , forks and spoons and glasses for the wine. All the deca was built in high end which gives it a lovely feeling of class in an outdoor space. Fantastic walks right on the doorstep, up and down a canal, with loads to see, victorian industrial canal boats, fantastic for dog walking.Great views from the farm and fun waking up to all the animals and the diffrent noises they all make.

orchard meadow shepherd huts leek-buxton-ashbourne, hotel in Biddulph

Offering a garden and mountain view, orchard meadow shepherd huts leek-buxton-ashbourne is set in Upper Elkstone, 20 km from Alton Towers and 20 km from Buxton Opera House.

The location was perfect, really nice setup. We arrived by motorbike in the dark , in the middle of a storm. There was a power cut just after we got there but that only made it more exciting, the hut was swaying in the wind. Spent the night relaxing and trying to dry our gear by the fire. Highly recommended.

The chalet was absolutely beautiful , nice and warm, very clean and everything was in there that we needed. The owners were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. They left us a bottle of Prosecco for New Year’s Eve it was a lovely touch. Plus also provided bread and milk . Would definitely go back and recommend this property.

The landlord was very helpful and welcoming. There was a fridge in the room and we were given fresh milk for the fair trade tea, coffee and hot chocolate. Lovely high beds, very clean, great shower and bathroom. In the middle of town, opposite a great Indian restaurant and near Sainsburys. Very impressed.
