Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or RV park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-pitched tent, RV, or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms, and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
Solliden camping was worth every cent. The camping bar was not open, so there was not much food and drinks at the camping site. But the shops are less than 15 minutes walk away, so it was not any issue. This was early June 2024. Things have probably changed already.
The staff welcomed us warmly and with a smile. To a normal Finn their friendliness might be a bit too much. But rather happy than grumpy. The weekend started great. They also said hello and waved every time we passed them.
Absolutely adored the place - lovely staff, overall atmosphere was great, the island was beautiful, glamping was fantastic, and it was a nice surprise having live music on the evening
The location of the campsite being about 1 km from supermarkets and Perainen center was very good and convenient for restocking food and drinks. The hilly area and lush green nature around the campsite was very good for walking & running, hence good for keeping fit.
Absolutely beautiful island; facilities have clearly been carefully thought out to maximise guest enjoyment. The north sauna was amazing, and the glamping tents lived up to the promise of their pictures. We would definitely come back!
The room with sea view, everything was very clean, the bed was really good. My room was not outdated, it seems quite new. The staff was very friendly and helpfull. The breakfastvwas fine, enough choice. I stayed here in september, low season.
We stayed in Vindskyddet, the smallest of the cabins on the island. It's an amazing little hut to sleep in with windows towards the open sea and a little private terrace. The hut is very small and simple, but there is a magical feel being in the middle of nature. If you are into glamping, you are going to love this!
The whole island is gorgeous and peaceful, the cabins are really tastefully and beautifully decorated and there is a calm and very accessible beach just in front of them. The breakfast was wonderful (with incredible freshly baked bread!) and the staff were just delightful. A genuinely magical island, we will be back!
