Enjoy the great outdoors at a campground or RV park. Sleep under the stars in a cabin or bungalow, pre-pitched tent, RV, or caravan. Communal kitchens, bathrooms, and recreational facilities are available, and most campsites will have a reception desk.
The couple that ran the place were very kind and were able to accommodate us at the last minute when our camping plans changed quickly during an intense storm. The view early in the morning from the breakfast area was incredible. It was still pretty cloudy from the storm the previous night, so I can only imagine how beautiful it would be had we been there on a clear day. The hotel is located about 200m away from La Ventanita, a super cute restaurant with great food that also has spectacular views.
Pura Vista Glamping was a great find and place to spend the night. Wendy and Roger were super helpful in helping us find a place to eat and in suggesting things to do while we were there. High recommend the Essence Arenal Jungle Night Tour right across the street from Pura Vista. It was an exceptional 90-minute tour with Aurelio.
The photo was the view from our little dome deck
Beautiful property with an amazing view of Arenal Volcano. The hosts, Wendy and Roger, were so kind and accommodating. There are nearby restaurants and a small markets as well as activities. The Glamping yurts had a bed, futon couch, sink, fridge, coffee and tea, a/c, electrical and a shower. It was nicer than several hotels I’ve stayed in! And waking up to the volcano view every morning was breathtaking.
If you like camping life it’s ok if you like luxury this is not what you search. No toilet shower shared it’s outside. It’s clean but the cabin was with no AC and very small
I loved staying in the camping tents in the trees. I thought it was pretty amazing. The land it was on was wonderful to explore. Great way to unplug from.the rest of the world for a few days.
The team are great especially the kitchen team who create delicious food. Our rooms were simple however very clean and really comfy beds, I slept really well. The view is amazing and looks over the lake and volcano and also next to the Butterfly Conservatory which is a great activity for an easy day. Pleasant to stay out of the main town. There was massages too which I didn't have time for. Easy to organise transport and the team helped us with our transfers too.
