The location was great, right on the coast with crashing waves to listen to at night. It’s close to pristine forest so lots of birds and monkeys. Really good food (similar price to restaurants), wonderful friendly staff.
We had a superior bungalow facing the sea which was very clean and a comfortable bed.
We were collected from the beach below the lodge for the Isla de Caño tour.
We had a really relaxing and comfortable stay here, we booked to stay one more night 😊 we felt so at home, the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was very clean, the rooms are cleaned every day. There is a great restaurant on site with a nice view over the river to the beach. The beach is one minute walk away and they pick you up from the boat if you arrive from Sierpe. We really loved it here and didn’t want to leave! Thank you to the staff of Casa El Tortugo 🥰
Pleasantly surprised on arrival. Hemie was so lovely and accommodating and helped with all our needs. Very clean accommodation and just a short 3 minute walk to the beach
Beautiful view, cabin very clean and thought was given to providing everything we needed. Erick was helpful arranging tours and giving advice before we arrived. Good value for money, very centrally located. Would definitely recommend. A wonderful part of our Costa Rican holiday. Enjoyed lounging in the hammock on the balcony feeding bananas to the birds and hearing the crash of the waves on the beach. Definitely go on the floating tour that was an amazing highlight for us! You basically hike into the rainforest and then float down a river.

Giood place at the beach, good furniture, very clean, hammock at the terasse, observe animals from the terasse, Fernando is very helpfull, he picked us up from the boat.
The location is very quiet, and very close to the beach. The food at the restaurant is very good. The staff is very firendly and the room is the best, very clean, very confortable.
Wow - what an amazing spot! The staff were so friendly and warm, the garden was beautiful, room was very clean and you're moments away from their beach. Perfect to watch the sunset. They organise tours + pick up from the property. We particularly loved the snorkelling!
the surroundings were very nice, with nature all around, you can hear many birds all day and we even saw an agouti two times playing in the garden (around 6h). the bungalow is simple but was very clean and with a private porch, wich was really nice and gave privacy. the common toylets were always very clean and some of them with hot water. all the place was very silent wich was good. the common kitchen has everything you need. Close enough to the beach, restaurants and 2 mini markets.
