We had a wonderful 1 night stay in Umkumbe Bush Lodge. After a long ride (tip: do not follow gps without checking it leads you to enter the Sabie reserve using the Shaws gate!!), we arrived in the Camp and were immediately warmly welcomed by Anika. Tents are very comfortable as is the whole camp : boma & restaurant area are so beautiful. Nice pool with lovely sunbeds & a view on the bush. No big game passed by but soon we saw Kudus. The game drives with Pieter were amazing!! We had the luck to see a leopard with cubs (wauw!!!) chewing on a kill, 7 lions and many more animals. Breakfast served during our sunrise game drive was the cherry on the cake: freshly baked pancakes in the middle of the reserve! Life can’t get much better than this!

All was perfect, the staff was great, they organised the birthday of my daughter with cake and songs, and was always very pleasant and nice. The safari was also extraordinairy, we saw the big 5 in 1 day (2 safaris), our guide Satice, was friendly and professional. And to finish, tents are very comfortable.

No fences around this camp so animals are literally at your doorstep. Food was remarkable and the game drives go up really close to the animals. Very kind people and comfortable accommodation.

We went with the purpose of taking pictures and got very satisfied. The structure is fenomenal, very good tents and common area, clean, integrated with nature. Excelent food too.

Decorated in Colonial style, its luxury tents feature private verandas overlooking the seasonal river. We have been fortunate to have travelled to some beautiful destinations but this one is all by itself! Wish we could give it a 12! Thomas and his staff were over the top. Nick our guide was so knowledgeable and informative. The food was Michelin star quality. The “camp” itself was truly like an old time safari. Our “tent” (massive beautiful room) overlooking the river with elephant, baboon and hippo visitors almost on the deck. The amount and diversity of the animals we saw was an added bonus.
