It is located in a beautiful mountainous setting and seamlessly integrated into the surrounding village. Tanuja, its founder, is a wonderful guide and leads fascinating walking tours to the nearby villages (including partially uninhabited villages) about the local traditions and village life, as well as to beautiful lookout points. There is so much intention that goes into ensuring that Nayalap provides opportunities to the local community, who otherwise are facing significant environmental and economic challenges. The food was extraordinary -- we loved the local Kumaoni dishes that were cooked with so much love, it was the best food of our entire India trip.

Such a wonderful location, full of peace & nature, staff is cooperative, good hospitality, food is delicious, cozy tents and comfortable beds. What else you need during your travel in mountains or anywhere ? We 10 friends were planning to explore the Harsil Valley. We were a little skeptical whether the night would pass comfortably in the tent or not. Or whether the food will be good or not. So we took reservation for one night only. But considering such a beautiful location, comfortable accommodation and excellent service from the team, we extended our reservation by four more nights. During our 5 nights stay we found it was a wonderful experience with "The Harsil Stay". It was a life time experience and and everyone must try it at-least once. Thanks to Mr Vinay KD for his support and followups during our entire journey from Bangalore to Harsil. He was available on phone calls and provided his valuable inputs during the travel on mountains.. everytime. Totally great experience. Thank you.
