My granddaughter (10) and I spent a weekend in Heron Hut. We enjoyed the peace and tranquillity and all of the wildlife that came past at various times of the day. The hut was clean and comfortable and well equipped for a short break. Pity we couldn’t have ordered some warmer weather so that we could have had a BBQ
Clean, comfortable and nice hot showers. Cosy beds. We had the carvery for dinner which was delicious. Thank you
Everything - the contact beforehand from Becky was fantastic and the instructions were spot on. The house is absolutely stunning and perfect for our needs with our elderly father and two dogs. The view from the cottage are heavenly and I love that you can enjoy the space in sun or if it had rained (which it didn't!). The location is ideal too - a stones throw from so many lovely places to visit and eat at and the wildlife around the cottage was stunning.
Perfect area to explore Stratford and far enough away to feel like you’re in the countryside. Beautiful views and sunsets across the hills of the large front windows.
Fantastic location in a period property. Short walk to the river for a sunset with the swans. Across the bridge and into the old town for dinner. Beyond a dream!
Good size room with everything you need, and stunning views to wake up to. Great to have separate a lounge area to sit in of an evening, and loved watching the wildlife in a morning at breakfast. Breakfast was amazing with home made bread and preserves and perfect poached eggs.
A beautiful old house in really nice countryside. The hosts were available and attentive and we enjoyed chatting with them about the history of the house and its contents. Everything was very relaxed. Our room overlooked the garden and the views from elsewhere were delightful given it was lambing season. The breakfast was great!
Great location, rooms not fancy but comfy beds and hot shower Handy having pub below
The staff were really accommodating, considering we arrived at a busy time. The room over looked the square, which was lovely, especially nice with the sunset. Didn't really have space for parking, but there was a large free carpark in walking distance. Breakfast was lush. The pub had a really lovely, relaxed, friendly vibe with locals enjoying it, too. Lovely busy pub. Nice decor with a rustic feel. Warm and welcoming. Definitely will be visiting again and definitely will be recommending.
Stayed in one of the Safari tents. Decent room for our family of 5. All bedding provided so just took some blankets. Used the gas stove to cook breakfast. Used the BBQ and made use of the picnic table too.
