The property was perfect. We booked the camping barn as an alternative to camping so we didn’t have to worry about putting up tents and cooking equipment etc. it didn’t disappoint, the lady that greeted us was lovely, the bed was a dream after a day of walking, the Setting is beautiful and the pub 10 minutes walk away was the cherry on top!
Beautiful old fashioned hotel, surrounded by nature and wildlife. A cute teddy bear toy was left on the bed for my little boy, he loved it! And this thoughtful gift made our stay just a little more special.
Spotlessly clean, lovely soft and comfy beds, powerful and hot shower. The bedside lamps had USB A charging sockets, and there was a glass water bottle for drinks, which was a nice touch. The hot breakfast was great with local sausages, but plenty of other choices, including chilled juices. All in all, one of the best B&B’s we have stayed at, you could tell that Angela has really thought about giving her guests the best possible stay.
The walks around the cabin are great. The facilities in the cabin are good. We had a BBQ. We saw lots of wildlife. It was a great little family getaway, you can feel like you are in the middle of nowhere.
Lovely staff, really nice food, great location. Beautiful sunset from our upstairs room!
Safari tent was gorgeous and immaculate Beds so comfy Online check in Everything we needed inside the tent Logs topped up every day for log burner Scenery was amazing
Good central location, clean, hot shower.
Excellent staff, quiet location and beautiful grounds. I especially liked the fact that they left some corners of the garden for wildlife.
Peaceful, quiet location. Nice walks to the nearby beaches and towns and plenty of wildlife. Caravan was nice and had everything we needed for our stay.
I was in one of the Loughrigg single rooms, reminded me of my uni days! It's basic, but you aren't paying the price of a fancy hotel. There is tea, coffee, a cosy bed, a telly and a hot shower. The rooms were quiet and looked out onto trees, no no view. BEST PART: You can walk right down to the lake on a private path and take a dip off the jetty (if no boats) or in the bay next door. I had a swim at sunset and dawn and I saw herons and all sorts. Stunning!
