Absolutely perfect location, great room with a fan. 5 mins walk from the observatory. Lovely social areas with hammocks. So many birds and wildlife around too! The owners are so friendly and helpful, helped us out with transport/ taxis. Food also really good.

Very homely feeling to the property with amazing staff that really looked after us. The hammocks and the nature around made it really cozy and we loved being able to listen to the parrots talking to each other! Amazing value for money. Great location in between the grey desert and the red desert which meant that we could walk to both.

Nice hostel with a extremely nice owner who guides the desert tour. He is very enthusiastic about the area and the wildlife of the desert. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour.

The family that run Casa de Campo were so friendly and attentive. They made it very easy to gain information about getting to the desert and arranged affordable transport to the grey desert and Villavieja for us. It was walkable to the red desert and a short walk to the observatory. The lunch was tasty and they catered for me as a vegetarian. We would absolutely recommend this - it is decorated beautifully, very clean and there are lots of areas to relax and hammocks to chill in after your hike. They have lovely pets too!

I adored the lovely decorated outdoor area, perfect for chilling in the hammocks, cool parrots. If you have external bathroom/shower the thing is veeeery basic, but we didn't mind. Food was good and reasonable priced. Very friendly family! Tuktuk to the place is 40k. Red desert in walkable distance.

Very friendly family, no English but they really try and help you with transport. They keep the whole area very clean. Everywhere cosy hammocks and seats. We got upgraded to a room with a private bathroom. Good location near the observatory, 2.2km walk to the red desert.

Very cute, natural feel, lots of green, funny parrots, hammocks to chill out. Friendly family who cooks delicious meals. About 30min walk from the red desert and an hour walk from the grey desert, but there are also many options of transport if walking is not your thing. Very peaceful.

Loved having our own veranda to chill in a hammock when it was too hot in the day. Family who own the place are lovely and very accommodating. Food was excellent and cheap. And the bed was genuinely the comfiest I've slept on in all of Colombia, I was not expecting to get such a good nights sleep in the desert!
