If you have an early morning departure from the Magufuli bus station then Hotel Amaranth is likely your only convenient option. They provide a complementary shuttle service to the bus station for guests at any time. The room was reasonable - mosquito net, AC, complementary water, small fridge and jug.

My experience at the hotel was very amazing. The staff, the cleanliness, and the property itself all were great. I would definitely like to come back. It is a hidden gem. Keep it up Joleen Safari Team!!

Beds and pillows were comfortable and they also had a mosquito net. There was a big yard with tables, where you could eat or smoke. The location was good, near to Kawawa rd, but you had to walk a bit to reach the dala dala station.

Nice place, quiet, clean, big comfortable rooms and big garden outside the house. Both owners were very kind and helpful. Breakfasts and dinners were great and big. For us even too much 😊. The kids loved the garden and both dogs (kind dogs, like to cuddle). The living room is very nice too. Beds are great, everything is clean and mosquito nets are intact. But we saw no mosquitos anyway. We recommend city tour with Joshua and he can connect you with local people for example to get a cheap transfer to airport or even a safari company.

Very nice, calm and safe place to stay. Stella, the owner, made sure that we still get dinner due to our late arrival. We had a nice and clean room with fan and mosquito net, hot shower and good internet. Also delicious dinner is available for a good price. It’s not in the city Center but you can reach it easy by Bolt (Uber). We will come back ;)

Excellent budget accommodation. The staff is great, helpful and welcoming and the management is full of (great) advice to travelers. Rooms are basic, but clean with mosquito nets, fan and A/C, hot shower, and very strong WiFi (in the room). The location is very peaceful/safe and is also very convenient for researchers or students willing to stay for a longer period of time. Last, there is a very nice view on Dar from the rooftop.
