visited in oct 2024; absolutely loved my time here! mon jam/mon cham is full of glamping sites. it’s hard to get around if you don’t have your own transport but holing up in the accom doing nothing and enjoying nature is perfect in this environment. i booked shared transport via klook (pick up/drop off near chiang mai old city) where they dropped off/picked up at your mon jam hotel
booked via booking.com, arrived earlier than check-in time so there wasn’t anyone around. messaged the owners via the app and someone came within minutes. the staff i encountered didn’t speak english so we communicated via a translator app
love that a kettle is provided, as well as some instant beverage sachets. remember to bring snacks/cup noodles! they do sell cooked food as well as mookata! 500baht per set, meant for 2 pax. you can let them know the time you would like to eat. it’s the perfect activity to complete the glamping experience
breakfast was provided as well, included in the booking price, brought right to your doorstep. mine came at 8+am and was a nice simple breakfast. warm porridge was a great dish to eat in the cold morning
i really enjoyed my time in this accom and definitely recommend! english name of this place is “langsuan”

Very enjoyable for a short stay with activities and places to visit close by. Breakfast included and have to pay extra for dinner but worth it!

Khao tom for breakfast was homemade and cosy. They have moo kata available (additional price) for dinner as well. Mountain views were breathtaking, and there were so many stars when we visited around December.
The staff were so accommodating and approachable too :) Thank you for having us!
For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
The family at Jimmy and Jeng homestay were so friendly and helpful that we were made to feel so welcome. Jimmy also gave us lots of tips about what to do in Chiang-Mai, as well as ideas for our next location. This was a lovely experience! The wildlife is also really amazing... there are toads, geckos.... it's beautiful. The area is a stunning location too and close cafes, restaurants, and shops. We would definitely come back.
Beautiful garden area with hammocks and padded seating areas. The views from the rooms were incredible, just green natural beauty, leafy trees etc. Beautiful buildings, hanging plants and flowers. Lovely pool. Delicious food and drinks. Friendly, helpful staff. Free bikes. Comfortable beds, lovely rooms. Good local information.
It used to be a good hotel but it seriously needs investment and a good clean. You can notice the lack of attention in the stains on sun beds, the dirty pool and lamps, the old discolored pool towels and the bad quality of the breakfast
Excellent value! Check in was extremely smooth. The sweet lady (I did not get her name) was extremely warm and welcoming. The entire guest house is very clean and well kept. And the location is superb. You have access to everything.....
And the WiFi is very very fast and great for remote work. Keep in mind, it is a very very simple accommodation. You get a clean comfortable bed and a hot shower. For the price, it is perfect
The location in the mountain with the view is stunning. The beds were very comfortable and sheets and towels were changed after 3 days. There was lots of comfortable furniture in the living area and balcony. We loved the hammock on the balcony.
Brilliant location, close enough to walk to all the markets, but quiet at the same time. Large and clean room. Bed with memory foam pillow comfortable. Staff helpful. Plug sockets worked with Thai plugs, as well as my UK sockets which was very useful. Nice view of mountains and sunset.
The staff here are lovely and very helpful, Uom (so sorry for our terrible Thai pronunciation) cooked amazing breakfast, chatted with us in the morning and helped us when we needed to get to an atm. Absolutely beautiful surroundings and loved being woken up by the wildlife in the mornings, the sunsets and sunrises were amazing. The rooms themselves are spacious and comfortable with your own private balcony at the back that looks out onto the fields and a small stream. There are ducks and so much wildlife to spot too
