Very nice property in a very nice location. Perfect for a romantic stay or even a getaway with one kid as well as for the hiking starting point - right in the middle of everything. Very nice stuff, very authentic experience.

We absolutely loved the shelter. It’s really cute and clean and we loved the location in the mountains. It was very comfortable and well equipped. The staff was also super nice and friendly. We had a really great time!

The Mountain Eco Shelter is such a charming place that you'd be wrong not to sleep here during your stay in Madeira. You feel perfectly safe and surrounded by nature. The shelter is very comfortable (the kitchen is well equipped, the bathroom is perfect and beautiful, the bed is very comfortable), the terrace offers a breathtaking view of the mountains and the valley of Funchal with the sea, we really enjoyed eating outside with this view. The shelters are located in the Funchal Ecological Park, which gives them a special flavor: you feel right at home in nature, and there are hiking trails from the park.
Unfortunately, we stayed during the August 2024 fires and were therefore unable to do some of the hikes, but this didn't spoil our stay and the host was very reassuring and informative about the fire. Many thanks to the team for this.

Location was beautiful, so close to the Pico hike and just a short drive from Funchal. If it was a cloudy day you can drive for 2 minutes and be I'm the sunshine!
The huts were immaculate, beautiful, cosy and serene. Dioclécio was super friendly and helpful, giving advice and recommendations. Everything was super easy going and just what we needed :) Thank you!

Location amongst the trees, great hikes nearby (including the famous Pico to Pico, which starts a short drive away) and a sunset hike on the doorstep, peaceful, friendly meet & greet from host and quick responses to messages, but not hassled. Bedding, towels and shower etc of good quality. Comfortable bed. Heater warmed the cabin up nicely when required.
For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Perfect views from the balconies: ocean, mountains, sunset sky… Everything you need in the apartment: from washing machine to coffee making machine. Convenient location to stay for sigthseeing the island as there’s a parking place. If we come back, definitely we’ll choose again.
Great apartment, privet terrace, powerful and hot shower, decent size bath. Good facilities in the kitchen with stocked up and very cheap mini bar/fridge - the view was exceptional and extremely close to local shops, restaurants and bars. The host Teresa made everything very simple and went over an above to help.
Good looking hotel. Plenty of space. Swimming pool a good size and freshwater. Plenty of sun beds. We had a large room that came with an extended balcony so plenty of indoor and outdoor space. Staff were all very nice and the food/restaurant was excellent.
The flat was well equipped, the kitchen had most of the things one needs to make it functional without having to run around to buy many things on your first day.
Flat is also nicely decorated and spacious with a gorgeous ocean view, especially at sunset.
Great hotel - we also were put in a room much bigger than we had booked! We booked a double garden view balcony room, and ended up with a room with 2 single beds and a spare bedroom (single bed), and also had a huge sea view balcony!
The balcony really was a highlight of our trip as we spent our evening sat out enjoying the sunset.
The location is also good but it is up a steep hill! They do have a buggy that gives lifts on occasion.
great location right by a bus stop and an easy walk into old town as downhill but hard work coming back up
great bakery ten mins walk away and a great supermarket nextdoor. little bar 2 mins walk was very cheap
great view from the upstairs veranda and lovely to sit up there and watch the world go by at sunset
Best is the Location, close to restaurants and an easy walk to town.
Breakfast is good.
Pools are good and always sun beds and umbrellas available especially on the lower deck.
Sunset Dinner was good.
