For travelers who love being in nature with some added luxury. Also known as glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, surrounded by wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it and stay glamorous.
The staff were lovely and really helpful. Breakfasts were good and there was a lot of choice. Comfortable sitting area in the main building and on the verandah.
The hotel was very unique with a mix of new and old. Our hotel room was a good size with much needed air con. The breakfast was a mix of different foods to match the tastes of all the guests from different countries.
The swimming pool had a beautiful view, particularly sun set. Each sun bed had a fresh towel and a parasol.
I will miss the lovely breakfasts sitting out on the terrace looking at the amazing view. Such a relaxing spot with much wildlife to enjoy. The owners friendly dogs kept us entertained when we drank our cool beers in the evenings watching the sun go down.
Location was rural. I loved the view of the mountains from my room and from pool area. It was peaceful experience and I noticed all of wildlife eg. birds and butterflies.

Breakfast - good variety of everything from eggs to cheese to pastries and fruit.

We wanted a quiet location and this met our needs. Lovely views. Comfy bed. Hot shower, great mobile wifi. Didn’t use pool as travelled out of season. Lastly breakfast was very good.
This is a most comfortable hotel and has a great mix of rococo architecture and modern, enormous bedrooms, each with a really private terrace. The staff are very well trained, friendly and accommodating. The views are magnificent down to the coast around Faro and dinner on the dining terrace at sunset is a great experience. The pool is enormous and extremely clean. The gardens are fun too with recent and ancient planting and statuary. Parking outside or underground (lift) was safe and easy.
Excellent historical place where you could stay with big comfort and fill yourself like an honorable guest in wealthy Portuguese family of last cent. I liked very much relaxing in the yard near swimming pool, enjoying sunset.
