For travellers who love being in nature with an added sense of luxury. Also called glamping, tented camps provide full or limited services, while surrounded by the wilderness. Typically in permanent or semi-permanent camps, these private tents/yurts are a great way to rough it while staying glamorous.
Nancy was the most wonderful host, she picked up us at the train station. The next day we were leaving for Lake Titicaca, and we could store our things for one day with her free of charge. Then when we came back, we had a night bus and she let us wait in the lobby for a couple of hours for which we were super grateful because we were so exhausted. For a small fee, she let us take up one room and take a hot shower before our trip.
Raoul's wife cooked simple but delicious dinner and breakfast. What I liked the most is that they provided hot waters upon arrival and also next day morning - delivered to your room and kept you warm. Also the shower is HOT! toilet is super clean, even though the water pressure was a bit low but you can have a hot shower at this place which is amazing. Also the free shuttle from the port and the taxi arrangement from the bus terminal - everything went so smooth. Will definitely recommend to people.
Very nice Uros Isla, we love the whole experience. The owner picked up and dropped off at pier, took is for a Titicaca trip, his wife made us all the meals, every meal was delicious. We went in May, we were a bit worry about hot water, but it does have enough hot water, got heat inside room, and very warm blanket. The glass roof and windows are beautiful, can see both sunrise and sunset at two sides of the room, I definitely would recommend this place to anyone who wanna stay at Titicaca.
Located on a floating island with few neighbours. Comfortable beds with plenty of blankets in extremely large detached room with great sunset views.
Carlos the owner was very helpful and provided hot water bottles and arranged both land and water taxis on our behalf.
The unique experience is such an uplifting experience, sleeping on lake Titicaca who would think that was possible but thanks to the amazing warm people who live their lives on the floating islands continuously maintaining their homes. The lodge is so nice and decorated lots of blankets for the chilly nights, breakfast brought to you in the morning hot shower a nice front deck to watch the sunrise or sunset I love my experience you get taken by boat with a local
Unique place to stay- on a tiny floating island at lake titicaca.
Great view from the rooms and little verandas, hot shower.
The host Nestor, living on the island with his family, was very friendly. He shower us around the other island and offered different tours (from 45min, showing how to fish and how the reet is cut, and some local traditions, up to a full day tour. ,
Eddy and his family, including their dog, were so friendly and helpful. The shuttle service they provided was really punctual and the food was nicer than a lot of restaurants we have eaten in in Peru. The room was huge, the bed was comfy and the toilet was clean! The outdoor veranda was absolutely surreal for sunset.
