the location, the drinks, the guac, the sunset, the calamity. It was very relaxing here, seriously, I was so tired and burnt out from work but only 2 nights made a massive difference. I highly recommend this for relaxation. You can put up a hammock in your room's tiny garden, seriously, the absolute best!

The rooms are really good, spacious, clean, silent, lots of fresh air and nice view. The premises are very large, so one does not feel the presence of the other guests. The common area ir also large and pleasant, with facilities like fridge, microwave, coffee machine etc... The deck area is nice, with lots of shade and hammocks to enjoy the sunset. It's a reasonable distance to walk into town in case you don't have a car...

Amazing location right on the lagoon with direct access via the jetty and free access to Kayaks. The sunset Kayak to bird island was very special. Very secure location, felt really safe. Only four rooms in the property (the front rooms have lagoon views, but it really doesn't matter too much as we hung out on the jetty which had sun loungers, hammocks and shade). We were really well looked after by the host / manager. Very clean, even the leaves that had fallen overnight got swept away. Great breakfast. Mini-fridge in the room.

I had an amazing time at this property! The rooms were spacious and provided a great view of the lagoon. The balcony was amazing with a private pool and hammock. I enjoyed the restaurant and sun beds as well. The location of the hotel is great and very close to the town. The hotel staff was so kind and they helped us call taxi's to and from the property when we would head to town. They went above and beyond to ensure we had a great time. I will definitely be back and recommend to anyone going to Bacalar!

✤ Great value for the price. ✤ Clean toilets, showers and tent. ✤ Fan inside the tent + light + comfort of the mattress + cleaning ✤ View of the lake ✤ Restaurant. Marco, the Italian Chef, made us a fantastic dinner for a really decent price. Ravioli was incredible. ✤ Peace. The vibes are calming, everything is laid back. The hammocks make it even nicer. ✤ Free water in the lobby. ✤ Comfortable for couples. ✤ No mosquitoes! The tents are completely mosquitoes safe.

Very friendly and helpful staff, they went out of their way to help us while we were there. Beautiful view of lagoon and nice glamming tents with full mosquito net. Drinking water available at all times Kayaks and paddle boards free to use We found it a good location outside of town but if you want to go to the centre every night probably not for you. Great food

The stone bungalow was finished to a really high standard, impeccably clean and the toilet and shower facilities were perfect. As previous reviews said there was only a curtain separating the bathroom from the bedroom but the way it is laid out we didn't find that to be an issue. Gorgeous sunrise vies and the loungers and hammocks on the pontoon make it very difficult to leave! Also the availability of kayaks to just take out as you wanted was amazing. We headed out for a lovely kayak on the lake to watch the sunset.

So the location itself was pretty perfect at the shore, has a nice jetty, some sun beds and hammocks on it and direct access to that lake and is in walking distance to the city center. The room was pretty specious and clean.
